Hong Kong has recently witnessed the rise of a new hallmark of fashion in the heartland of Causeway Bay, the SAR’s busiest central district. The two-story building, which goes by the name of “Delay No Mall“, hosts around 50 the world’s coolest brands, as well as a bar, a cafe, and a tattoo shop, giving the area’s voguish teenagers and twentysomethings a hip new place to hang out.
The concept hatched in the popular store is fully embraced by youngsters because it resonates with the MK trend of youth culture in Hong Kong. Those who admire punk, tattoos, LV and Gucci Bags, and the latest hip hop tunes, enjoy calling themselves MKs, a termant that refers to the area of Mong Kok which is renowned for its avante garde and slightly risque environment.
