Global social media celebrities discuss contraception with teens

CScout and Bayer recently announced a new blog to help promote World Contraception Day (WCD) and its mission to help educate teens about sexual health and relationships. The blog will be written by members of the Youth Task Force, a group of young social media celebrities from around the world organized by CScout. They’ll be engaging teens in discussions about contraception, dating, and more. CScout, not only developed the strategy, but also scouted and recruited the Youth Task Force. The main idea is to reach out to regional celebrities with an existing fanbase in order to help spread the message to more people and generate more long-term discussion on the issue.
World Contraception Day, which was held on September 24th, is an annual worldwide campaign with a vision for a world where every pregnancy is wanted. Its mission is to improve awareness of contraception to enable young people to make informed decisions on sexual and reproductive health. This year’s focus is on encouraging young people, especially 15- to 19-year olds, to talk to people they trust about preventing STIs and unwanted pregnancies.
