Sites that enable coupon clipping to be done online and on mobile phones are taking daily errands into the digital era
Behind the rise of the “keitai shufu” (mobile phone housewife) are sites like Shufoo!, a portal site for “denki shirashi” (electronic notices), which essentially takes the leaflets and coupon catalogs from shops around the country and puts them online.
Members (registration free) can sign up to receive such notices from their favorite stores or brands delivered directly to their inboxes. Alternatively, one can browse by neighborhood or by category to check for (and compare) special promotional campaigns. Each member has access to a notebook and calendar for recording useful information.
