Trend: Wearable Media Jacket

Normally interactive computer terminals or game-stations are sitting and waiting at fixed locations for their users. Together with MINI Financial Services CScout created a Wearable Media Jacket to engage visitors at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt 2005.

The Wearable Media Jacket is a mobile gaming terminal. It’s easy to wear and carry around for the promotion team. We integrated a 3.5″ Monitor in the jacket. The monitor is conntected to a small yet powerfull laptop. The laptop is fitted into the garment with an extra cooling system.

Two speakers are integrated into the jacket to provide sound for the video game. Inside the jacket is a battery power-pack for the display, the speakers and the cooling system.

A controller is attached to play the game on the built-in screen.

The Wearable Media Jacket is used by MINI Financial Services to promote a special sweepstake for their financial services. Gamers have the opportunity to lower their monthly leasing-rate through driving the video-game. The better you are, the better the price for a potential leasing-contract.
