The all-in-one device is not a dream of the future any more: Cell phone, pocket organizer, digital camera, and MP3 player, these are just some of the features of the new smart hand-helds, pocket computers and phones.

PalmOne just released its new Tungsten E2, a Palm with high screen resolution to display photos, video-clips and Microsoft Office documents, built-in Bluetooth networking, Internet access and MP3 Player. The memory card for storing songs comes in a secure digital slot. And for US$249 the Tungsten E2 seems quite a good deal compared with the Motorola MPx, which costs about US$930.
Motorola’s new MPx smart phone features a dual-hinge landscape and portrait color display for gaming, streaming video and other applications. It also comes with built-in 1.2 megapixel camera, 1GB of add-on memory and continuous connectivity using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology and supporting GSM and GPRS. There also is an external color display, which can be used for selecting MP3s, for example.
Sendo announced its X2 MusicPhone in February. It is supposed to be the first in a series of mobile entertainment devices from Sendo. The X2 boasts high quality sound direct from the phone or through the included stereo headset. It supports MP3 format as well as AAC and AAC= formats adopted by the mobile industry as standards. It also features a camcorder and 1.3 MP camera as well as Bluetooth connectivity, Triband GSM/GPRS and a 536 color display. It will be available in Europe by the summer.

Another cool new phone and entertainment unit is the N1 by Neonode. To launch all the applications the user just has to tap on the screen. Other features, next to the color touch screen, include an on screen keyboard, video and audio player (MP3, WAV, WMA), Hifi stereo playback, digital camera, up to 1 GB storage, SMS, Internet access, and an extensive organizer.
And last but not least, there are also rumors that Motorola and Apple are about to release the first cell phone to run iTunes.
